EXPRESS - Not just by Actions but also by Words
Learning of 2025 - Part 3
My question to you all is simple yet powerful:
How much do you think?
How much do you forget?
How much do you keep intact?
And finally, how much do you express?
I am someone who expresses every single emotion to my loved ones. But here’s the challenge - I often find it difficult to read the emotions of people who don’t express at all. I understand that everyone is different, and for some, expressing feelings is truly a task. Yet, for people like me, it’s equally challenging to face silence or no response in return.
Being expressive has its own challenges. At times, it may come across to others as exaggeration, or even feel repetitive to the point where its sincerity is questioned. There are moments when constant expression is taken for granted because the pattern suggests that forgiveness and understanding will always be there. Yet, what often goes unnoticed is that this very expressiveness whether in affectionate words, thoughtful gestures, or even occasional disagreements is simply another way of reflecting genuine care and love.
On the other hand, I’m also very close to people who hardly express. With them, I’ve noticed how their minds run endlessly with thoughts, yet no words escape. Their eyes often say more than their lips ever will. Their gulped throat, their racing heartbeat so much is felt, yet nothing is said. Their silence sometimes hides care, concern, even love but because it’s unspoken, it often gets misunderstood. Their actions too may be subtle, invisible, or misread. What they expect is, “You’ll understand.” But honestly, it’s like trying to read a language you’ve never learned.
Because the only true solution is to express, not just through actions, but also through words. This will never lead to misunderstandings. You will be crystal clear with your intentions. The other person will be able to understand you better. And finally, it will lead to better relations. Relations which will gradually get more strong, intense and you will be able to take it to great heights.
Be it with parents, siblings, spouse, kids, partner, friends, besties, or even in professional relations - you will notice a difference when you start expressing. Relationships will grow stronger, richer and more meaningful.
So go for it, guys. Express more. Share this with everyone, because I know all of us need this reminder.
And I’d love to know—how has Expressing helped you?
